There are currently 5.4 million children living in orphanages worldwide. 80% of children in institutions have a family member they could live with if given support. Here’s how we’re changing that.

The Motherless Child Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity, was founded by two parents who fell in love with all of the children in an orphanage when they went to adopt only two. Three adoptions and four children later, we are still reaching out to those children we had to leave behind. Another adoptive parent explained it best, �I went home and cried for the children I left behind. [They] went home and started a charity.� GENERAL MOTHERLESS HOME SUPPORT. We strive to make a positive change in all of our pursuits.

Every Child deserves to receive and give love and, in fact, must do so to healthily develop. One volunteer and donation at a time, we can help one child at a time.

Heart for Orphans is a charitable organization that provides support and stability for teens who have aged out of t he orphanage system. At the young age of 16 with no family support, these vulnerable teens face a life of potential crime, drugs, alcohol, and prostitution. Many end up in prison or sold by sex traffickers or die too young. Feelings of abandonment rejection and despair is all that they know!
Support Group
Heart for Orphans offers these abandoned teens another way out through our Transition Home Program. Our homes are small in size and give these young people a chance to live in a real home and be part of a real family. House parents shower them with love, treat them with patience and understanding while teaching essential life skills. Many feel loved for the very first time! Heart for Orphans introduces them to Christ and teaches them that He accepts them, loves them, and will never abandon them!

Help us Reopen our Quito Volunteer Programe
For most of OSSO's history, we've had volunteers serving in orphanages in two major cities in Ecuador - Quito and Cuenca. Unfortunately, we had to close down our Quito program almost 8 years ago due to low volunteer numbers, and later on, a pandemic.

We've continued to support the Quito orphanages financially but haven't been able to send volunteers there - until now! OSSO's volunteer program is now stronger than ever, and we are making preparations to reopen our Quito volunteer program before the end of the year!
​
However, we've come across a big obstacle - the Quito volunteer house has been empty for years and is in need of major renovations before we can receive volunteers! We've found an incredible family that has agreed to live in the house and begin repairs starting in August, but first we need your help to raise $10,000 for the much-needed renovations!

WHERE WE WORK
Orphanage Support Services Organization has supported over thirty orphanages worldwide since our founding in 1999, but we currently focus on supporting eight orphanages in Ecuador, a small country in South America.
WHAT WE DO
We seek out responsible children’s homes and ethical orphanages in need of additional support. We assess how we can help them meet the needs of the children in their care. Then we use our network of caring individuals to provide them with support tailored to their needs.
The support we offer comes in two forms: monetary support and volunteer support.
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
We believe that children can change the world when given the support they need to thrive! We work to find the world’s most vulnerable children and provide them with proper physical, mental, and emotional support.
When orphaned and at-risk children have their needs met, they are more likely to become happy, healthy, and capable adults. This in turn creates societies with reduced poverty, reduced crime, and stronger families.
HOW WE DO IT
We believe in caring for orphaned children holistically, and support them with both in-country volunteers (to meet their emotional needs) and financial support (to meet their basic needs). We team up with individuals, organizations, foundations, and companies to empower children’s homes with sufficient resources, so they can better support the children in their care.
